The FDA requires a prescription for the FreeStyle Libre 2 system, and the FDA requires a new prescription even if you were already using the FreeStyle Libre 14 day system. EHCS will work with your healthcare team to obtain all required documentation.

At this time, the FreeStyle Libre 2 system is cleared by the FDA for a reader and sensor. The FreeStyle Libre 2 reader is specific to the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors. If you have a FreeStyle Libre 14 day reader, it will NOT work with FreeStyle Libre sensors.
